INTRODUCTION

With over 15+ years in the creative field, 9 of those as a Creative Director, I bring a diverse skill set to the table. I am seeking an opportunity where I can apply my creativity and leadership in a more dynamic role. I bring expertise in omni-channel marketing, integrated brand management, UI/UX design, brand guidelines, packaging and email marketing, all with an ability to lead across both digital and traditional print platforms.

My expertise, shaped by both agency and client-side roles, allows me to deliver innovative solutions that drive brand success. As a creative team leader, I manage two websites, catalogs, advertising, brand guidelines, social media content, and all in-house photography and video production all to ensure consistency across all channels.

I am dedicated to crafting solutions while navigating the unique challenges of supporting two different companies (one B2B and one B2C), each with its own CEO and unique strategic objectives.

CURRENT EXPERIENCE

Creative Director

BodySolid + FitnessFactory

  • The creative team of five that I manage supports two different companies (one B2B and one B2C). I have effectively been able to revamp the brand strategy utilizing consumer insights, and internal feedback into a unified approach for both external facing brands.
  • Led an internal creative team of five (as well as freelancers) to transform brand strategy and consumer insights into unified approaches for B2B and B2C brands, resulting in substantial increases in sales.
  • Oversee all aspects of brand development and standards, as well as internal and external marketing initiatives, web development, social media, photography/video production, email marketing, advertising, and support for sales staff and trade shows.
  • Directed the migration of a multi-million dollar B2C website to the BigCommerce platform, utilizing advanced features like sales analytics and order tracking to enhance the e-commerce experience.
  • Additionally, this migration has enabled my team to successfully complete a second migration of a second in-house entity. The B2B arm of this organization is now active on the BigCommerce platform and shifting to a Direct-to-Consumer platform.
  • Oversee all aspects of brand development, including web development, social media, email marketing, and support for sales staff and trade shows, ensuring brand consistency and innovation.
  • Orchestrated the development and execution of a comprehensive photo and video shoot strategy, resulting in a significant increase in engagement and viewership across social media channels.

RECENT EXPERIENCES

Associate Creative Director

DeVry University (2012 – 2016)

  • Oversaw designers for two internal brands (DeVry University and Keller Graduate School), managing all design projects to ensure brand consistency.
  • Grew the team from 2 to 14 members through effective leadership and targeted recruitment.
  • Led the design team, and was lead collaborator with the IT team, during the migration of the university’s main website onto the Adobe AEM platform, enhancing user experience and functionality.
  • Developed and executed cutting-edge creative campaigns that significantly enhanced brand visibility, expanded market share, and drove growth across multiple campuses.
  • Conceptualized dynamic graphic content to support the diverse colleges within the university.
  • In addition to being the lead designer for the university, I was also hands-on for university press-checks ensuring top-notch accuracy in every piece of printed collateral produced for the university’s target audiences.
  • Mentored junior designers to cultivate a culture of creativity and excellence within the department.
  • Mid-way through my tenor at DVU, I was promoted from Sr Art Director to Associate Creative Director.
